Janet Julia (“Julia”) White graduated from law school in 1999 when she was 47 years old. She attended Florida State University for her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology where she graduated first in her class. She continued her education at Florida State University College of Law. Ms. White has focused her legal practice only in the criminal justice system, either as a prosecuting attorney or a defense attorney. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense, with a specialty in DUI defense. She brings her 24 years of experience to the firm having been on “both sides of the fence,” which gives her a unique perspective of the cases her clients bring to her. Having been a prosecutor for years, Ms. White knows how much evidence is needed to prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt. When defending a case, Ms. White knows when a prosecutor doesn’t have all the evidence he or she needs to successfully prosecute. This gives Ms. White a unique advantage over other lawyers in the field. In her free time, Ms. White loves reading, crafting and watercolor painting. She and her husband Larry White, a Paulding County Public Defender, enjoy living in East Cobb with their three rescue Chihuahuas and two rescue cats.
